At Sholing Infant School, the children are at the heart of everything we do. The three years that they spend with us are precious and special, and it is an honour for us to be the start of their educational learning journey.

At Sholing Infant School, we work hard to maintain a ‘family atmosphere’ where every child is known and valued individually.  We have high expectations of all our children in every aspect of school life.  We enable them to achieve their potential through high standards of behaviour and outstanding learning experiences.  We aim to develop resilient, confident and independent learners who are curious to find out about the world. During their time here, we encourage pupils to recognise that everyone has a part to play as a responsible member of the school community.

We were graded ‘outstanding’ by OFSTED in April 2025. Inspectors commented that ‘Pupils are extremely happy to attend Sholing Infant School. They are proud to be part of the school community. Pupils love taking on extra responsibilities and take these very seriously.’

We work closely with our parents and governors to make the school an exciting and successful place to be and ensure that children’s school days are happy and fulfilled.  Our staff are dedicated and highly skilled and they always look to further improve what the school can offer.  As a result, our children achieve well and make excellent progress. Ofsted said that ‘Staff are tremendously positive and encouraging. They act as role models for pupils. As a result, pupils behave superbly and develop a strong sense of character.’
